Unacceptable behaviour  is -

- That which places others needlessly in harms way.

- Where the behaviour adversely affects others.

- Where the driving behaviour is considered to be unsafe.

- Where the behaviour is considered unacceptable and unnecessary.

- That which leads to Road Rage.

Hoons may have some luck avoiding the Police, but they won't be able to avoid that onlooker or local resident looking out of their window taking down the vehicle's details with the intention of reporting it to 'Dob-a-Driver'.
Without a report there can be no consequence for the offender, and the incident details                               would be lost forever !

Thank you to those who have taken the time to make a report so far, incidents that would have normally gone un-noticed  have now been stored for future reference.  Some of the gathered information is being presented  as statistical data and you are able to view previously entered reports on the 'Search Database' page.

This Central Database can be used by anyone to report unacceptable driving behaviour and is available for all to see!

The owner of the vehicle MUST be held responsible for it's misuse                                         Thankfully there are a greater number of safe drivers on our roads than dangerous drivers                                                        The risk of young drivers crashing increases when carrying peers in the vehicle.                                                     It is likely that the increase in risk is due to a combination of driver distraction by passengers and the propensity of young drivers to more readily react to peer pressure than older drivers.                                       Many road deaths are directly attributable to reckless drivers                                                      If the 'dobbing' of just one individual saves another innocent life, then it would have been worth it !                                                                    Now you can anonymously file a report to DobaDriver about unacceptable  behaviour any time of the day or night                                                                                           It's up to the 'many' responsible drivers to instil accountability in the 'few'                                                                                                                                                  The majority of crashes in rural areas are single vehicle run-off-road crashes, head-on collisions and intersection collisions.                 Even exceptional drivers need to be held accountable at times   .........     Even an uncharacteristically reckless Craig Lowndes has suffered the consequences for his aggressive driving style at Eastern Creek yesterday, docked 15 points from his Championship tally.                            Research has repeatedly found that young drivers, particularly males, are more likely to indulge in risk-taking behaviour such as racing, speeding and alcohol use.                                          The Sweeney research fouind that drivers who have been charged with driving infringements (speeding or drink-driving) are most likely to show road rage.

Can be used for both land and water incident reports.

The driver of the vehicle is responsible for the safety of their passengers and other road users, and as such needs to be held accountable for unacceptable use of that vehicle!

With the possibility of having the incident recorded by other motorists or even bystanders, there may be a greater degree of restraint by would-be offenders.

Have  you  ever  wanted  to  give an inconsiderate  or reckless driver a piece of your mind but thought it too provoking or possibly a waste of time?

Do you feel that it would most probably have no effect anyway, as these drivers lack the  same common sense or ability you possess to ' do the right thing '?

Well..... here's your chance to report those offenders in such  a   way that  while  they continue  to  repeatedly commit these  offences, they are having a database of their actions accumulating against them.

There are drivers who are totally oblivious to the fact they are repeatedly breaking the rules, and there are those who just don't care one way or the other.

When the Police arrive they aren't committing an offence, or have left the scene, so the incidents need to be recorded  when they occur, and this is where Dob-a-driver provides a system of keeping track of those events.

Once offenders realize they may be reported  by  other drivers, pedestrians or even onlookers, and have their details and poor behaviour  placed  on  a  Central database,  they  may develop some restraint  and modify their behaviour, making it a much safer place for everyone.

With the number of Police Officers we currently have to patrol our vast network of roads and waterways these days, they can only do so much to curb the ongoing blatant disregard for the rules, so please help by taking the time to collect and store the incidents on  the Central Database.

It is NOT the intention of  Dobadriver to replace or negate the efforts of our Police Force, but rather to assist them by allowing a mechanism of reporting not directly related to the Police, where those who feel intimidated by authority can share their knowledge with all Australians.

Should you have  occasion to  report such  an incident please fill in as much detail as you can in the Report Form .

Important Note:

It is not the intention of Dobadriver to instigate the dragging of individuals through the legal system, but rather to allow the general public a vehicle for recording events which would otherwise go un-noticed and unrecorded, hopefully giving rise to some basic form of deterrent.

Some have expressed concern relating to the entry of vindictive and totally false reports, and although this may happen as it does with most well-intentioned systems, the majority of people just wish to make known that unacceptable behaviour has occurred and needs to be reported. Would-be offenders usually have been able to get away with the offence without consequence, until now!

The greater majority of the general public should not have any reason for concern as they do have due consideration and respect for others, but unfortunately, some in our community do not, so please take the time to record the incidents so they may be held accountable for their actions.   Inconsiderate and poor drivers will begin to accumulate multiple reports against them from various sources and locations and it will be easily viewable from the search engine reports.

Please note - personal details associated with the incidents will  not to be made available to the general public, so there can be no repercussions for the individual making the report given they are not made falsely.
