Dob-a-Driver was developed as a research tool for the purpose of gathering  information relating to all types of unacceptable driving behaviour throughout Australia, with the intention of presenting that information back to the public, showing the types of incidents which help contribute to the appalling vehicle accident rate, the majority of which are preventable.

 

With this knowledge, it is the hope that unlawful speeding reduces.... courtesy towards other drivers increases..... responsibility for one's own actions becomes a way of life and a general decrease in vehicle incidents occurs as a consequence.

 

There are some who might consider having their poor behaviour recorded on Dobadriver as an achievement, but they do not realise that once it has been presented here (on the Internet) the information may very well come back to bite them at some time in the future when they least expect it.

 

It is not the intention of Dob-a-Driver to use the gathered data for purposes other than enlightening Australia as to what occurs on our roads and waterways to the detriment of others... but many have access to the Internet and are able to look over the reports at any time.

 

 This may include -

  • Insurance companies

  • Police

  • Government

  • Bosses (both existing and future)

  • Mothers

  • Fathers

  • Etc. etc.

 

We are sure that the greater majority would be comfortable with the concept and objective.

 

When a person's actions have a negative impact on others, it is generally considered  to be unacceptable!

 

 

If the Dobadriver concept saves just one life

then it is well and truly worth the effort!
